As standard, one engine powers the entire 2022 Compass lineup, the 2.4-litre Tigershark four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. With the base trim level, you will have a front-wheel-drive drivetrain and a six-speed automatic transmission, while a four-wheel-drive system remains optional. The rest of the trims get the four-wheel-drive system as standard along with the nine-speed automatic transmission, giving the Compass better gearing and taction to tackle the most challenging of terrains.
